Welcome to our website!

We  are a not for profit, community led organisation growing native species of trees from locally collected seeds using organic, peat free methods . Trees are nurtured until they are ready to be sold as bare root trees for hedging and woodland/community planting. We graft our own fruit trees which we sell in pots throughout the year or as bare root in winter. We also grow fruit bushes and some herbs and other plants.

Coeden Fach is a great place to volunteer and learn new skills. We welcome volunteers to help nurture our trees and develop the biodiversity of the site. We also work with a diverse number of school and community groups who visit  our site for therapeutic outdoor sessions based around all aspects of growing and planting trees.

We run training courses on subjects such as fruit tree grafting and orchard pruning.

OUR NEW SITE AT CLYNE GARDENS

This lovely site is an exciting venture for us and will enable us to have closer links with Swansea, enabling increased access for our volunteers.  It will also enable us to diversify and grow a wider selection of trees  in order that we can supply more trees in both the rural and urban areas of Swansea. We are supporting biodiversity on the site by installing bat and bird boxes, habitat piles and have planted 54 metres of new edible wildlife hedge along the boundary as well as a small orchard and area of wild flower turf.

Clyne is a fantastic site for volunteering so if you would like to get involved please contact Kate, Nursery Coordinator on 07831923244 or email us on coedenfach.info@gmail.com.  You can also keep up to date with our activities by following “Coeden Fach Kate” on Facebook.

VOLUNTEERING TIMES

We are open for volunteering on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm at our site at the top of Clyne Gardens. Contact Kate on 07831923244 for more details. Don’t be shy we are a very friendly and welcoming group and the nursery is a great thing to be a part of.

  2. Attended meeting regarding potential move to Cllyne Gardens last Friday evening and was persuaded that this could be good for you, Clyne Gardens and. public at large. No dissenting voices from the rest of the audience either so hopefully we will see you moving in soon. Good luck, Graham Rex

    1. Hi Diane
Yes you can. We are open this Saturday and every Tuesday and Thursday 9:30-1:30 until the end of March. We are based in Clyne Gardens in the top right hand corner. You can park in the car park at the top of Mill and follow signs to find our entrance higher up Mill Lane. Or park in the car park by The Woodman and walk up through the park past the coffee van, there will be signs outside the gates into our site from the park. Trees are small whips and very light and easy to carry.
We look forward to seeing you
      Ruth Evans
